I don't wanna reduce myself to just throwing around a bunch of critic buzz words here, but I'd say contrived, predictable, silly and ridiculous would all do the trick in accurately pinning down this one.

...could've been a great mini series or something, but as a feature length movie it falls short. It's got some parts that work, some parts that fail outright and ultimately it didn't do a lot for me.

No Country For Old Men is such brutal piece of literature to translate to the big screen. It's definitely got its share of cinematic moments, but the bread and butter of the novel is Ed Tom Bell's musings on a world-gone-wrong that precede every chapter of the book.

It tends to drag in spots and I get the feeling it thinks it's more perceptive than it really is. It's still a nice little film and if you haven't seen it, it's definitely worth checking out.

[I]Ghost World[/I] is a timeless, painfully authentic representation of teenage existence that should be required viewing for any high schooler wary of the world before them.

The film fails on so many levels I don't even know where to start. As a love letter to cinematically-impassioned young people and the French New Wave movement itself, [I]The Dreamers[/I] is a pretentious dud.

The film's concept alone should at least make it worthy of a rental whenever it hits the shelves. And flawed as it may be, [I]Teeth[/I] is easily one of the most unique, haunting and unabashedly strange film experiences I have ever had.

For all its whimsy, [I]Lars and the Real Girl[/I] is still a life-affirming, immensely positive, easily enjoyable and magnificently sweet movie that deserves to find an audience.
